Broker NYSO requires A securities broker to have at least a baccalaureate degree to secure an entry-level. Majors in business, accounting, economics or finance are the best for those who wish to pursue a career as a securities broker. Brokerage firms typically provide training for employees who wish to obtain a broker’s license, as well as training on the financial products and services the firm offers. Must have passed the Series 6 & 7 and must be licensed by FINRA or IFRA.

A securities broker contacts or is contacted by potential clients. He explains what services he offers and, when a client opens an account, offers advice on the purchase of particular securities. He will, with his clients’ permission, purchase or sell securities on the clients’ behalf. The broker will then monitor the financial markets, watching the performance of clients’ securities. He may contact a client with additional recommendations to buy or sell securities. He will monitor the markets for initial public offerings, public offerings of previously private companies, mergers and acquisitions. He will also keep a close eye on the cost of and revenue generated by his client agreements. $125k plus commission
Marketing Consultant Bachelors degree in business marketing. A marketing consultant contact or is contacted by potential clients. He/she explains services offered. Once potential client becomes a member the marketing consultant is paid a 5% commission on investment. 5% commission only plus bonus
Accountant Bachelors degree in Accounting. Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Research Results, SFAS Rules, Confidentiality, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills  
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
